Hybrid Engine and Rocket Assembly

Mission Details

We are going to:

  • Build a new airframe, consisting of avionics, recovery systems, an upper- section, and a motor bay.
  • Utilise CranSEDS’ existing hybrid engine by optimising the design, validating performance, and integrating it into the airframe.
  • Implement additional features, such as pressurant tanks and plumbing stations, to enable seamless operation of the hybrid engine.
  • Create Cranfield’s first ever fully integrated SRAD hybrid engine for a rocket!
