Our team will design a rover for a habitat construction mission to Mars.
This competition challenges students to perform a complex systems engineering tasks such as creating a rover concept, trade off performance parameters and passing through a rigorous review process with panels of engineers from the space sector.
This is a very exciting competition for us and we have made special attention to create a diverse team to tackle this challenge and problems that will lie ahead.
As a result, our team is formed by 15 post-graduate students with very different MSc backgrounds (AVDC, Robotics, Aerospace Dynamics, ASE, CFD, Thermal Power, etc.) and it will be led by Mikel Bueno Viso as Project Manager.
The main workpackages include: Software & Control, Mechanics & Structure Design, and Electrics & Electronics
