Mission Details

This team, comprised of 22 members, aims to develop rocket testing on the Cranfield campus by integrating both cost-effective, and off-the-shelf components to complete our objective.

Our New Hybrid

Our brand new engine DRAKE was hot fired 5 times over two days, thanks to the efforts of the great people at Protolaunch, It managed to not only sustain a 22 second burn but also operated within 1% of its design parameter of 500N of thrust.

Project Success - R2S Best Hybrid

For the second year in a row, our propulsion team at CranSEDS have won the best hybrid award at the annual Race 2 Space national propulsion competition. Alongside this, the project also attained the award for the best CDR.
